About High Five Paws
With over 20 years of experience working with pets, I understand the importance of one-on-one undivided attention that your pet deserves while you're away from home. It's time to enjoy real peace of mind knowing that your pet care provider will do whatever is needed to keep you happy, healthy, and safe. The focus at High Five Paws is ensuring a stress-free and communicative relationship with you and your pet family!
Proudly serving St. James Plantation & Oak Island up to NE 38th St.
Cats and reptiles can become stressed when in an unfamiliar environment, which is why High Five Paws' services allow your pet to stay home surrounded by familiar sights, smells, sounds, and routine.
High Five Paws Values
Communication - From the Meet & Greet to visit report cards and photos, you'll be in the loop throughout the entire process.
Reliability - Without a doubt, High Five Paws will be there rain, snow or shine, so you never have to worry.
Personal Service: I won't bring children, other pets, or anyone else into your home. It's just ME and YOUR pets. We're talkin' 1:1, undivided attention, only.
Professionalism - I don't just 'love pets.' This isn't just a hobby. It's a business built on experience, education, and reputation.
Individualization - Every pet is different. Some like belly rubs. Others like fast-paced walks. Others just like to snuggle. Adapting to your pet's specific needs & offering a helping hand... It's what it's all about.
Meet Nicole
After years of experience in both pet care and veterinary capacities coupled with an obsession for animals since as long as I can remember, my pet sitting career evolved from sitting for a vet tech colleague to a full-time career.
In 2019, after the understanding of knowing how difficult it could be to find a trusted, reliable and caring pet care professional, I started my own pet sitting business. The goal from the beginning that still reigns true today is to provide the highest quality of pet care possible. I enjoy caring for so many different pets and their needs. Customizing to their needs is one of my greatest joys... From geriatric pets to shy pets to pets who have severe food allergies to cat's needing insulin, we have you covered. YOUR PET'S HELPING HAND.

The High Five Paws Pet Care name grew out of inspiration from my first dog, Leona a Plott Hound mix, who quickly learned every command we threw at her... ending with a high five to seal the deal for a treat! Since starting High Five Paws, my husband and I have welcomed quite a few rescued fur kids into our family. Today, our home is filled with two Treeing Walker Hound mixes, four black cats, a 27 year-old red-eared slider, George!

As my business has grown, I've shifted my focus to cat care, pocket pets, and reptiles, allowing me to dedicate more time to my rescue animals in my home.

There's nothing quite like the love we share with our pets, and I believe your pet care provider should share that same love, compassion, dedication. That's why I'm here!
'Hear it' First-Hand
"Nicole takes excellent care of our five cats when we travel. She is on top of all the details especially the medications our one cat takes. We appreciate the communication and photos."
